Artist-Led Programs
A major part of Laura’s work at the Whitney involves collaborating with exhibiting artists to develop unique, artist-led programs. Together, Laura and the artists design sessions inspired by the artwork on view or elements of the artist’s broader practice. These programs offer a rare opportunity for children and families to connect directly with the artists, creating a dynamic exchange that brings art to life for young audiences.
On the day of their program, artists engage with kids and families, creating a space where professional artists and young minds meet. This inspiring combination excites children, who gain fresh perspectives and learn directly from the artists, while the artists, in turn, share their ideas and often find delight in the unique insights kids bring to their work.
